Is it Mandatory to use Crisis Cleanup?

No. We believe that the "Voluntary" in VOAD means that in general VOADs can't/ shouldn't be mandated to use a particular software platform. If Crisis Cleanup is useful, please use it. If it's not, don't use it; no skin off our nose.
We occasionally receive reports of local recovery communities, OEMs and VOADs attempting to mandate Crisis Cleanup. While we hope Crisis Cleanup helps all responding organizations help more survivors, such decisions are made completely on the local level. Although our policy is to never make Crisis Cleanup mandatory, we also believe strongly that local communities should be able to make local decisions--just as we believe in the independence of individual VOADs.
